"As this recent surge in the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement emerged in June, the recognized month of Pride for the LGBTQ+ community, many in our Queer community have rallied alongside BLM in solidarity, and a burgeoning Black Trans Lives Matter movement has solidified a powerful identity. While eliminating racial injustice has been the main priority, more people are becoming aware of the need for full equality across the spectrum for everyone. These photos are images from protests addressing racial inequities including the deeply rooted systemic ones embedded within the institutions of our society and most importantly within the police and our justice system."
