"I created this group of drawings during the most stringent stay-at-home period of the pandemic. Though the circular form is similar to the images we see of COVID-19, I actually had no specific narrative in mind. They just fall within the parameters of work I’ve been doing for some time, adhering to symmetry, abstraction and carbon mediums. When I found myself initially unmotivated to work due to the virus, having these simple rules helped me to reenter my studio and reconnect with my paper and pencil."
