"My work is based on my surroundings, both past and present. I’m motivated by the things that move me, thrill me, and anger me. My paintings are allegorical—studies of my life and the human condition. These are recent paintings, with marks that are bolder, darker, and have a subtle political tone. Although small in size, they present a story that does not need deciphering. Unlike my older work, they are not restrained."
Pauline DeCarmo is based in Hudson, NY. Her work is based on her surroundings, both past and present. She is motivated by the things that move her, thrill her, and anger her. Her paintings are allegorical; studies of her life and the human condition. She sees a vast amount of space and she wants to fill it with paint.
