PROJECT NAME & SYNOPSIS
PROJECT NAME & SYNOPSIS
My project "Taking Sides" is a 25 minute short film. The story was adapted from a theatre play of the same name, written by Suzannah Churchman (an extremely talented, award-winning playwright whom I had the honour of starring alongside in my debut theatre performance last year). The story is a comedy/drama about two teenagers in a mixed junior AFL team who are dealing with life, death, parents and each other during State tryouts.

We were very honoured to have several newspaper articles written about Taking Sides during production. Below are articles that appeared in The Sourthern Gazette and The West Australian.

Taking Sides wouldn't be the same without our anthem track - "Holding the ball" by Westy and the Benchwarmers. Our collaboration with these guys was pure serendigity! (or serendipity if you haven't seen the film yet) and we're so grateful to have come across such an awesome home-grown footy tune.
