My name is Blake Evans and I am studying a bachelor of Audio at SAE in Perth WA. I have been playing and singing since I was young and a few years into writing and producing. I love all kinds of genres and never really know where to place my music but I would say it would sit most likely in the pop/singer songwriter genre. A huge goal of mine was to release my first song to the world and this was the perfect opportunity to do that.

One of my goals has been to release my own music for people to hear, written, produced, and performed by me. I have always held back on this out of fear but this project was the perfect opportunity for me. This Ep consists of 2 songs and they tell a story of losing connections and finding them again.
Process
Process
Majority of this EP was recorded in my home studio, I even made use of the wardrobe trick for the vocals. I played in guitars and recorded other instruments on midi, as well as record vocals. I thought about artists throughout Covid, and a lot of them were only able to use a home studio to record and produce so I thought of ways I could do this.
Mixing vocals was the hardest part. As they are my own vocals, I am even more critical and I think this slows my process down. I am continuing to work on my sound when it comes to producing as well as finding a solid and consistent vocal chain.
