This photograph is for altered process. In this photograph we used a normal printed full size negative but during the development process I only splashed developer on certain parts of the print, this develops only the parts that I wanted this did two things first it made different amounts of developing on certain parts of the photograph giving "fake" depth to parts that wouldn't have had much depth in the first place, secondly this adds a different pattern around the whole photograph where the developer was splashing around almost making the viewer look at the face that is the focal point of this print. I really like this picture because its one of my first very clear darkroom prints since I took photo 1. I really like how the development is all on johns face, it makes this photo many times stronger than it would be if i developed the whole photograph, because got rid of the bottom of the photo, the bottom was admittedly very boring with little/no texture and mostly dead space. So the altered developing process was a perfect solution to this.
