Change
My work has changed drastically over the past half year of photography 2 it has gone from half hazard throwing together some photoshopped hands to becoming extremely well versed in using photoshop effectively my darkroom techniques have also improved so much during photo 2. I also now have a much better "eye" for taking photographs, something that comes with experience. You can see my darkroom prints and cyanotypes become more clear and more effectively developed and my use of photoshop and photography techniques improve massively from photo to photo I am extremely proud of this. The most challenging thing for photo 2 for me was the online portfolios, however, in terms of the photos themselves, the most challenging part was not knowing that I could double up negatives to get a better color for my images this led to lots of blown out images and frustration. When I started using multiple negatives on the movement image my images got immediately better. I am most proud of my Weather image and my lighting image, these are my favorite images from their respective quarters they are just so much more powerful than my other images and are the obvious standouts in my portfolio because of their strong composition and color that is not in many of the other projects. I am a rushed learner, I like things fast, and you can see this in my enjoyment of cyanotypes, I used more and more cyanotypes because they were faster than the normal prints and allowed me to get the photo I wanted quicker than I would have if I developed the image normally on photo paper.
