Pixel art

In this assignment we had to take a picture from a magazine and turn it into pixels and the point of this is to take all of the colors in one square and blend them into one. I created a abstract/portrait work of art. I used the following mediums to create my work pastel and graphite pencil. Some of the art-making techniques I used are: drawing, outlining, and mixing. I used the following elements of art in my artwork: color, line, shape, texture, space, and value. To add interest to my composition, I used these principles of design: pattern and unity. This artwork is about the color in the alligators eye. This completed work makes me feel happy that its done. By creating this project I learned that I really like pixel art. In future pieces of art I may try to lightly draw more detail before making it to improve. I added my own original style by making the colors bold.
