1-pt perspective

In this assignment we had to create 1 point perspectives. The drawing on the left needed to include 1 table, 1 rug, 3 windows, a tile floor, beams on the ceiling, lights in the ceiling, 2 chairs, 1 door open, and a wall shelf. On the left it's a picture of a room and the right is a birds-eye-view kind've of a town or city. I used pencil and eraser to draw them. The titles are" room" and "road." They are landscapes. The art techniques are drawing, shading, coloring, and outlining. Some elements I used were line, shape, and space. To make it interesting I used pattern for a principle of design. This artwork is about getting a good grade. The completed work makes me feel like I have less to do except for the fact that I have to write this artist's statement. By creating this work I learned that I am bad at drawing 1 point perspectives. In the future I will try harder to improve. I added my own original style by drawing what I wanted. I drew as many buildings on the right as I could, to improve I think it would look better if I lowered the road and where the road ends. I didn't do a very good job at drawing the view. On the left I could also keep using a ruler. I need to improve on the placement of some objects like the table and couch. Some day I will draw something like this again and it will be better. When I was in 5th grade my personal art teacher started teaching me about this and I started by drawing the floating blocks and a 3D drawing of my name. On the right I also should've made the buildings shorter. The room drawing I had a hard time drawing the beams at first.
