Welcome

With the COVID-19 shelter-in-place commencing through the final months of the school year, these 12 talented and hard-working young women artists have all had to regroup and think differently in order to exhibit their Advanced Placement Studio Art Portfolios. Typically after a year of A.P. Studio Art, students who plan to submit a Portfolio host their first formal art show. Thus, due to present circumstances, they have chosen to proceed virtually in order to fully showcase their artwork.

Much like in college, these artists worked to collectively decide on the title of the exhibition, the number of works to be displayed by each person, a "venue" and dates of the exhibition (in this case, via a website). It is through this exhibition process that art students market their group show to attract a wider audience, where they are able to discuss their artwork with peers, parents, teachers and local artists.

We hope you enjoy viewing each artist's selected work from their Portfolio as well as reading about the intentions of each artist. If you have any feedback or praise for them, please don't hesitate to send an email- their individual contact information is at the bottom of each page. Many of these talented artists will be graduating on May 23rd and plan on entering into arts-related programs at the post-secondary level!

Special thanks goes out to our Fine Arts Department Chair, Sarah Sherrill, for the amazing new RRHS Visual Arts logo design!
