Artist Statement:

My artwork explores the natural elements of the world and, in doing so, aims to communicate emotions of bliss and optimism.

I am interested in experimenting with differing values: specifically, how shadows and highlights work together in order to convey depth in cloud formations (celestial and atmospheric paintings). The overall message of each work is to inspire feelings of peace and serenity through a harmonious color scheme and organic forms of light and dark values using paint as the primary medium. My goal, throughout my portfolio, has been to communicate the message of finding beauty in the intricacy of nature.
