Ms. Mindi Dryer, RIS Residence Coordinator
“My educational philosophy is to create an environment where all students can be successful, knowing that success will look different for each student. I believe that experiential learning is most beneficial to growth, and I encourage students to always try new things.
It has been such an honor and a pleasure to join this warm and diverse community at RIS. Having previously served as Head of Boarding in Jeju, South Korea, and as an Athletic Director and PE Teacher in China, my true passion is caring for students in Residence. At RIS Residence, we encourage students to have a balanced lifestyle through social interactions and weekend activities while striving for academic excellence in a structured study hall and additional weekly tutoring.
It is a privilege to support our students as they grow in independence, build lasting friendships, and feel at home here in Residence. I look forward to a wonderful year ahead and to working closely with our Residence faculty, staff, and families to provide a caring and supportive environment for every student.”

To ensure the best support, ongoing communication with the Residence staff is essential for student boarders. The collaboration between the home and the Residence staff helps to keep everyone “in the know” about all issues.

While our Residence staff check in daily with all boarding students, there is nothing like family to ensure students share their concerns. Regular contact with your son/daughter (emails and telephone calls) is significant to them. Please support your child, as we are committed to finding a good balance in doing their best in academics, maintaining a good social life with extracurricular activities, and establishing healthy routines to ensure their best performance.
