TEMPORARY GUARDIANSHIP FOR NON-THAI STUDENTS
When a student’s parents or legal guardians do not live in Thailand or will be out of the country for an extended period, the parents must appoint a temporary guardian to act on their behalf and in the student's best interests. Parents should complete the guardianship consent form (included within the Residence Contract) at the beginning of the school year.

Over 21 years of age
Able to communicate effectively with staff in English or Thai
Able to provide a residential address in Thailand and 24-hour contact details in case of emergency
Willing and able to look after the student at home during illness or school closure
Willing and able to communicate with the parents, students, and staff as needed
This guardian has permission to:
Visit the student on campus
Transport the student off-campus in their personal vehicle or by taxi/other transportation
Make decisions regarding the student’s local off-campus activities, such as visiting friends, shopping, etc.
Make decisions regarding the student’s overnight visits with friends
Provide consent for medical services for the student, including contacting medical personnel, and issue consent for any medical procedure, medication, treatment, or care diagnosed and administered by a licensed physician, surgeon, dentist, or medical personnel (In case of emergency or inability to contact the parents)
Attend parent-teacher conferences and communicate with teachers regarding the student’s progress and attendance
Make decisions on behalf of the student regarding minor academic or behavioral issues
