Students must wake up and prepare for school with enough time to leave no later than 7:10 a.m. each school day. During exam periods, students may study at the residence or the library when they do not have an exam. Students must check in after school each afternoon by 5:00 p.m., at the latest, and be available by mobile phone during activity time.

Students must attend and be on time for all scheduled Residence activities—meals, study hall, and outings. Residence staff must know where students are at all times, and it is the student’s responsibility to inform them. If a student needs to change the established routine (e.g., parent visits, field trips, medical appointments, or any time you plan to leave campus), it is their responsibility to inform the staff member on duty.

Dinner time in the evenings starts at 5:30 pm. Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 7:10 a.m. Dinner is compulsory for all students. Students are asked to arrive between 5:30 - 6:00pm for dinner unless there is a meeting scheduled. Mealtimes are a chance to reconnect with other students, listen to announcements, and inform staff and students of any good news or important issues.

Students must notify a staff member if they would like to use the stove in the kitchen. (Students are responsible for purchasing the food they use, staying out of the chef's way, and washing all the pots, dishes, and utensils they use.)

Students are asked to arrive at 6:55 p.m. to set up their workspace and be ready to start studying by 7:00 p.m. with required academic work and supplies. Students must remain awake, quiet, and engaged. Use earphones or headphones when listening to audio.

It's crucial to note that our dedicated staff are always present in the Study Hall, ready to support students. Whether it's assistance with assignments or homework set by the teachers, students can always ask for help. Study Hall times for each grade are as follows:

Study Hall expectations:
Work areas are to be quiet. Whispering is permitted if discussions are about schoolwork.
Students should be considerate of others and not distract other students from their studies.
Only school work and reading are permitted; no movies, games, etc.
Students should look ahead in their schoolwork to be sure they have completed all assignments.
Food is not allowed in the Study Hall.
Students are always expected to speak English in the Study Hall.
All students must leave the Study Hall by 9:30 pm.
There are two smaller break-out rooms for students who need to work in groups. If a student has an online tutoring session, it must be approved in advance. Parents are expected to inform Residence staff when sessions are required.

Staff members must be advised by email or phone before the student leaves the Residence. Parents are asked to pick up students from school.

On school nights, unless permission has been granted otherwise, all students must be in their rooms by 9:30 p.m. and prepared for lights out/quiet time at 10:00 p.m.

By 10:00 p.m., the building must be quiet and students are not permitted to leave their rooms after 10:00 p.m. A Residence staff member will do a nightly check in each room at 10:00 p.m.

Residence staff can be contacted by phone if there is an emergency in the night.

The Residence staff should have all relevant information regarding students' whereabouts and their care.

If a child does not attend school after he/she has been signed out of the Residence (i.e., after going home for the weekend or a holiday), it is the responsibility of a parent or guardian to notify resident staff as well as the high school or middle school office of the student’s upcoming absence.
If a child returns to the residence at a later time than previously indicated when the student signed out, it is the responsibility of the parents or guardians to inform the residence staff of the student’s new expected arrival time.
