Non-Thai families are responsible for securing the required visa in their home country before a student boarder travels to Thailand. Arriving students should have previously arranged for a Non-Ed Student visa for Thailand.
Once in Thailand, the RIS Human Resources department will support boarders with their visas, charging a fee of 7,700 baht to cover changing a Non-Ed Student visa into a more permanent visa for Thailand. Any remaining costs will be returned.
RIS Human Resources will try to arrange for students to go to the Immigration Office on a non-school day. (Sometimes, students must miss a day of classes to arrange their visas.) Residence staff will be in touch with the Office regarding such absences.
Residence staff will collect all students’ passports. The passports will be kept with Human Resources and available when students need them.
AIRPORT PICK-UP & DROP-OFF
If a student is traveling for personal reasons, he/she may request the support of the RIS van for an additional fee of 300 Baht. When available, a Residence Staff can accompany the student if needed.
