A leave benefit granted to Exempt employees who worked on a legal or special holiday or on rest days.
Exempt Employee – Any employee carrying a supervisory responsibility and above and who are deemed exempted or not entitled to overtime or rest day pays, legal or special holiday premiums, or night differential
Eligibility

Exempt employees who work at least four (4) hours during holidays or rest days are entitled to time off in lieu of overtime.
TOIL leave is based on the number of hours rendered on holiday and/or rest day, not on the premium rate of holiday. TOIL and/or holiday premium qualification is based on the day the shift started. If the shift started on a regular day and ended on a holiday, employee is not qualified for a TOIL and/or holiday premium.
Forfeiture: Unused credits shall be forfeited after 6 months from the time it is credited/earned.
How to File:
Employee must file the overtime for the work rendered during holidays or rest days in the company’s timekeeping system within the cut off period to earn the leave. The TOIL leave option will automatically activate upon approval of overtime.

Click Overtime Filing
Click on New which will open the Overtime Filing pop-up window
Complete the following fields:
a. Date: Current date
b. Start Date: Start date overtime was rendered
c. End Date: End date overtime was rendered
d. Start Time: Actual start time overtime was rendered
e. End Time: Actual end time overtime was rendered
Click on Save
Once the overtime has been approved, TOIL balance should appear in the My Leave Balances section in myPay.
