6-12 Mathematics Department Vision
The Secondary Mathematics Program fosters students to think, reason, and use mathematics to make sense of the world around them. Teaching and learning encourage students to work collaboratively to solve rigorous and complex problems as they acquire the skills necessary for college, career, and life. Our goal is to foster and strengthen our students’ growth mindset through learning that incorporates creativity, imagination, and resilience.
Our curriculum is aligned to the Common Core Standards and follows units of study which aid students in making connections across grades as they deepen their conceptual understanding and strengthen their procedural skills and fluency.
