Standards: Connecticut has adopted the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) as the Connecticut State Standards (CSS).
Course Levels: College-Prep level completes 5-8 texts per year, Honors level completes 9-12 texts a year.
The units below reflect the learning objectives covered in Grade 9 and the texts used to accomplish those objectives. There is no order to the texts covered. Additional texts may added to complete the curriculum and are based on student learning needs and interests.

Key Ideas and Details
RL.9-10.1 - Cite strong and thorough textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.
RL.9-10.2 - Determine a theme or central idea of a text and analyze in detail its development over the course of the text, including how it emerges and is shaped and refined by specific details; provide an objective summary of the text.

Craft and Structure
