The Grade 9 Thematic Units take students through literature and informational texts to gain an understanding of the importance of feeling empathy for others, of assuming the responsibility of leadership, of pursuing dreams, and of feeling the power of love.
Students will build their writing skills by working on their Writer’s Notebooks in class each day. Extended writing assessments for the year include Literary Analysis Essay, Narrative Essay, Argumentative Essay, and Informative Essay.
