Senior English: Stories, Selves, and the Next Chapter
This capstone English course invites seniors to reflect on who they are, where they’ve been, and where they’re headed. Through a blend of classic and contemporary literature, personal writing, and real-world communication skills, students will explore themes of identity, purpose, and change. They’ll sharpen their reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking abilities while engaging with diverse voices and perspectives. Projects will include memoirs, creative writing, literary analysis, and practical writing for life after high school. By the end of the year, students will leave with a portfolio of work that captures their growth as learners, thinkers, and individuals ready to write their next chapter.
