My name is Ms. Roberts, and I am so excited to continue my journey with RIHS this year!  I have loved to read and write since I picked up my very first book, and I can't wait to share my enthusiasm for literature with all of my wonderful students.

I have had the pleasure of studying literature from some of the most brilliant minds in the field, as I pursued my BA in English from UC Davis, then my MA in English Literature from CSU Stanislaus.  My academic track record includes a series of awards for literary research and argumentation, including a silver medal at the annual California State Research Competition.  I have a deep love for Renaissance playwrights and medieval literature, and I am always looking for new and fun ways to get students excited about the classics.   

I'm an artist in my free time, with a goal to become proficient in as many hobbies as possible.  My first and foremost hobby is taking care of my four cats, who I love dearly - though I've recently picked up gardening to spend a little more time in nature.
