Welcome to AP Language and Composition! Our units are designed to take students on a thematic tour of major events and topics from around the world as they aim to answer our central question: What goes into crafting an effective argument?
As students prepare for the AP Language and Composition exam they will interact with a variety of informational and argumentative texts including essays, memoirs, podcasts, documentaries, and more. Major assignments will include a quarterly research project, frequent timed essays, and a variety of speech and debate opportunities for students to boost their argumentative skills.
