Dear parents, students, and school community:
And here we are! The finish line is in sight, and victory is only a few strides away! As we prepare to conclude this school year, it is very important that we take a fond look back at how far we have come! From Day 1, I challenged the young 6th graders to believe in themselves and their potential to be leaders...and they did that! I reminded the 7th graders of their powerful influence on the future of Gator Nation as they take leaps forward in their own development...and they fulfilled their responsibility! And I encouraged the 8th graders to use their first two years of middle school to springboard them to their best year ever...and they sprang higher than ever thought possible. My staff invested mightily in the success of our school, and it has paid massive dividends! And the families and school community rallied behind all of our efforts to once again show everybody why we are deserving to be a National School to Watch! This year marked the most successful and most accomplished school year in the storied history of our school, as evidenced by the extensive list of awards and accomplishments in academics, arts, and athletics! To name all of them would take a looooooong time. Fortunately, you can look back at each newsletter from the first week of school until this one to relive them all!
This closing week is all about celebrating our Gators. Be sure to connect with your teachers, counselor, and grade level administrator for the schedule of festivities!
Lastly, I want to thank each of you for allowing me the honor of serving as your GNP! In my 7.5 years as principal, I have certainly grown more than anyone, both personally and professionally. I am proud of the work we do together and the legacy we continue to build as a standout community in Rock Hill Schools and across the state and nation! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the top!
If I do not see you this week, I pray that you have an amazing summer! Let's have a great, festive final week at The Creek! GO GATORS!
Yours in service,
Principal Clayton B. Moton
As a National School to Watch, we demonstrate Academic Excellence!
Dr. Stacy Martin represented the National Forum in presenting the OFFICIAL National Forum School to Watch banner to Dutchman Creek, recognizing us as one of the deserving schools in the nation! Mr. Moton and his team will accept this prestigeous award at the Schools to Watch National Conference this summer in Washington, DC! Great job, Gator Nation!!!!
The letter says it all! Congratulations, Mr. Ellison and the DCMS band students!!!!
The high school senior classes of 2025 paid a visit to The Creek to walk the halls of their middle school years before they walk the big stage of their high school graduation! We are proud to know that they recognize the impact of our investment into their success! Way to go, Seniors! Go take on the world!
Whether it is volunteering to help with during and after school, cheering wildly in the stands as fans, or expressions of love and care, we understand the importance of supporting each other inside and outside of the classroom! We are unapologetically PROUD to be Dutchman Creek Gators! Gooooooo Gators!!!
