I am EXTREMELY proud of Mr. Gayosso! A great start to a promising career! ☺️
Dear parents, students, and school community:
The last school week of 2024 is upon us! As we engage in the work this week, let us be reminded of the importance of each day and commit to ending this semester well. The goal is to go into Winter Break feeling confident in our efforts and to look forward to even better things to come in 2025!
This week we have our Quarter 2 benchmarks with Math on Monday, ELA on Tuesday, Science on Wednesday, and Social Studies on Thursday. In sports, the basketball teams take on Oakridge on Monday with the boys playing at home. On Tuesday, wrestling will host Sullivan. Basketball is back in action on Thursday vs York with the girls playing at home. Also make plans attend our chorus concert on Wednesday evening at 6 pm before swinging by Casa Tequila for Spirit Night on Wednesday night. Friday is an Early Release Day with students being dismissed at 11:45 am. And yes, we will have some holiday fun with our annual Winter Spirit Week sponsored by our Student Council! Wear your holiday tops with dress code bottoms on Monday and Tuesday. It's a Color War Wednesday with 6th graders wearing white, 7th graders wearing red, and 8th graders wearing green from head to toe. Thursday is Holiday Character Day, and we end the week with a New Year's Countdown Dress Down Day! Dress Code bottoms are required for Monday and Tuesday and remember, students...no pajamas...period!
If I do not see you this week, I wish you all a fantastic Winter Break and a Happy New Year!
Let's finish 2024 well by having another a #RockSolid week at The Creek! GO GATORS!
Yours in service,
Principal Clayton B. Moton

To the DCMS Family,
As we approach the holiday break, we want to take a moment to reflect on all the hard work and achievements from this semester. From the classrooms to extracurricular activities, our students have shown dedication, creativity, and growth, making us all so proud.
The holiday season is a wonderful time to relax, recharge, and spend time with loved ones. We encourage everyone to embrace the spirit of the season by practicing kindness, gratitude, and giving back to those in need.
During the break, we hope you find time to enjoy the little moments that bring joy and create lasting memories. Whether that’s curling up with a good book, playing outside, or simply sharing laughter with friends and family, take time to enjoy the magic of the season.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year, refreshed and ready for another fantastic semester of learning and growth. Until then, we wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a New Year filled with health, happiness, and success!
