Can't hide that Gator Nation pride!
Dear parents, students, and school community:
We are halfway through November already if you can believe it! I continue to marvel at our students and teachers who grind out impressive outcomes day in and day out. I ask that you join me in identifying and elevating the goodness that you see in our children and each other. We are not perfect and have plenty of room to improve, but let's not neglect the opportunities to give each other kudos for our growth and our efforts!
This week, our Jr Beta Club will continue its canned food drive. Please consider donating to their service learning project. Also, our Theatre Arts department will perform "Alice in Wonderland" this weekend! Be sure to come out and enjoy the show!
Enjoy this week's newsletter and take note to the upcoming events throughout the month. Thank you as always for being the best, Gator Nation! Reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or needs! Let's have a #RockSolid week at The Creek! GO GATORS!
Yours in service,
Principal Clayton B. Moton

ST-ARTS stands for “Special Talents in the ARTS”. It is comprised of a summer workshop from June 2-20 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Winthrop University.
Students currently in grades 6-8 are eligible to audition in music (voice or instrumental), dance, drama, and visual art. ST-ARTS is hosted by Winthrop University. Feel free to visit the ST-ARTS website for more information for parents and students about the ST-ARTS program. While transportation is provided to the auditions if needed, transportation to the summer program is the responsibility of the parent. It is important for parents to stay informed on the expectations for students in the ST-ARTS program. Please review the ST-ARTS Handbook. You can also find Rock Hill Schools information about ST-ARTS by visiting the Rock Hill Schools district website. Students who auditioned and were accepted previously and are still in middle school are eligible to attend. If your child attended ST-ARTS last year, you will receive an email asking you to confirm that your child intends to participate again in this year's ST-ARTS program. Please review the dates carefully. This program has limited participation. If you cannot commit to the full program dates, please allow another student the opportunity to participate.
Our students are working hard to incorporate the habits on a daily basis. This week students are focused on creating a goal and persevering to see the completion of that goal!
Learning Standards: Learners will be able to practice perseverance and regulate my emotions when working to achieve a challenging goal. Learners will be able to design a Wildly Important Goal Plan to achieve academic growth and will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of each of The 4 Disciplines of Execution. Learners will be able to apply The 4 Disciplines of Execution to set and achieve a goal that matters to them at school.

This week, teachers continued to work hard to support students and spent time reviewing the latest school-wide data. Teachers learned about 2024-2025 targets for students' median annual targets (MAT) and added-value targets (AVT). Within their professional learning communities, learning progressions were finalized and district formative benchmark data was analyzed to determine areas of focus and support needed!
When teachers give quality feedback, students gain confidence and THRIVE!
Whether it is volunteering to help with after school clubs and competition or cheering wildly in the stands as fans, we understand the importance of supporting each other inside and outside of the classroom! We are unapologetically PROUD to be Dutchman Creek Gators! Gooooooo Gators!!!
As a National School to Watch, we understand the importance of quality Organizational Structures and Processes!
We have one more week left in our annual food drive!! All items will be donated to HOPE Food Pantry in Rock Hill. Remember to turn your items into your team to be counted. The team who donates the most items will receive a Pizza Party!! The grade level who donates the most items will receive a FREE DRESS DOWN DAY!!

and science make up the curriculum specifically designed for future health professions students
of South Carolina.
The HCA also provides student advising and mentoring sessions. Parental involvement sessions
are provided for parents to learn more about financial aid options and strategies to help their
children strive to become future healthcare providers in South Carolina.
AHEC is recruiting current 8th grade students to participate in this program. If you are interested in participating in this program please complete the attached application and have it turned in by November 21st. Application should be submitted to taylormccurryhca@gmail.com.
