Enjoyed a Saturday evening in Wonderland with Mrs. GNP!
Dear parents, students, and school community:
Last week was awesome! From the surprise grant presentation for Ms. Streeter and her students to the successful production of Alice in Wonderland by our Theatre Arts students to our wrestling team having a great showing at their preseason tournament, we continue to grow and develop LEADERS at The Creek!
We have two days of hard work this week before we are off from Wednesday through the weekend for a well-deserved Thanksgiving break! In the spirit of the season, let's all enjoy a dress down day on Tuesday...just a little "Thank You!" from me to the students and staff for being great Gators citizens!
If I do not see you before we depart, I pray that you enjoy the time off and return safe and healthy! It is a short one, but let's be sure to have a #RockSolid week at The Creek! GO GATORS!
Yours in service,
Principal Clayton B. Moton
Developmental Responsiveness and Social Equity
As a National School to Watch, we understand the value of developmental responsiveness and social equity!
Alice in Wonderland was WONDERFUL!
Headlined by LOTS of Gators, the Rock Hill Schools Honors Band had a blast with the guest clinician and performed the best and hardest concert in recent years! Great job!
Students have enjoyed seeing their academic talents being recognized throughout the atrium from one end of the school to the other!
Ms. Streeter and her students will begin serving Gator Coffee thanks to The Foundation for Rock Hill Schools and Knowledge Perk Coffee of Rock Hill, who fully funded her grant proposal!
As a National School to Watch, we demonstrate Academic Excellence!

ST-ARTS stands for “Special Talents in the ARTS”. It is comprised of a summer workshop from June 2-20 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Winthrop University.
Students currently in grades 6-8 are eligible to audition in music (voice or instrumental), dance, drama, and visual art. ST-ARTS is hosted by Winthrop University. Feel free to visit the ST-ARTS website for more information for parents and students about the ST-ARTS program. While transportation is provided to the auditions if needed, transportation to the summer program is the responsibility of the parent. It is important for parents to stay informed on the expectations for students in the ST-ARTS program. Please review the ST-ARTS Handbook. You can also find Rock Hill Schools information about ST-ARTS by visiting the Rock Hill Schools district website. Students who auditioned and were accepted previously and are still in middle school are eligible to attend. If your child attended ST-ARTS last year, you will receive an email asking you to confirm that your child intends to participate again in this year's ST-ARTS program. Please review the dates carefully. This program has limited participation. If you cannot commit to the full program dates, please allow another student the opportunity to participate.
Our students are working hard to incorporate the habits on a daily basis. This week students are focused on creating a goal and persevering to see the completion of that goal!
Learning Standards: Learners will be able to practice perseverance and regulate my emotions when working to achieve a challenging goal. Learners will be able to design a Wildly Important Goal Plan to achieve academic growth and will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of each of The 4 Disciplines of Execution. Learners will be able to apply The 4 Disciplines of Execution to set and achieve a goal that matters to them at school.

Mrs. Mason-Feaster engages students in work before the continued engagement in work in core classes! Teachers are maximizing time before school and during enrichment to continuously support students in their understanding of content and skills.
PLCs (Professional Learning Communities) are the foundation on which instructional practices are built. Teachers engage in PLC meetings weekly to analyze student performance data and to calibrate their instructional decisions!
When teachers give quality feedback, students gain confidence and THRIVE!
Whether it is volunteering to help with after school clubs and competition or cheering wildly in the stands as fans, we understand the importance of supporting each other inside and outside of the classroom! We are unapologetically PROUD to be Dutchman Creek Gators! Gooooooo Gators!!!
As a National School to Watch, we understand the importance of quality Organizational Structures and Processes!

Leading Ladies @the Creek learned about business branding from Ms. Nelson, a digital design creator. The girls are excited about working on projects to build their business brand and are looking forward to future work.
The young ladies also discussed their personal brand as students. How do you show up as a student, a friend, and just a person? Is your brand HONESTY, KINDNESS, STUDIOUS, and much more?
