March has started off remarkably well for The Creek! Highlights included

saying "Hello" to our upcoming students and families!
inducting new Jr Beta Club Members!
our Academic Challenge team making us proud at the Regional tournament!
DCMS art students having multiple pieces on display at the Center of the Arts in Rock Hill!
DCMS qualifying several projects for the state competition at National History Day Regionals at Winthrop!
a successful Blood Drive sponsored by our Jr Beta Club on Saturday!

The teachers and students of Dutchman Creek certainly gave Gator Nation a week to be proud of!

Academic Challenge Team

The DCMS Academic Challenge team was impressive at the Regional Tournament on Thursday! As the only school from Rock Hill to advance past the opening round, the Gators made it to the semifinals and came up short of the finals by one point! Great job this season to the students and coaches! Goooooooooo Gators!

Teachers' Choice Youth Art Exhibit

Mrs. Moore's art students have several pieces on display at the Center for the Arts in Rock Hill! Congratulations! Goooooooo Gators!

National History Day at Winthrop

Dutchman Creek 8th graders competed in the regional National History Day competition at Winthrop on Friday against several schools across York County, with several Gators qualifying for the state competition for placing in the top of their categories. Great job, students and teachers! Goooooooooo Gators!

Our state testing season is approaching! Please add these dates to your schedules and help your Gator to be in attendance each day.

Save the Date! Math and Science Night

Our math and science departments at Dutchman Creek Middle School are planning a family night on March 20th, 2024 from 5-7p.m!

Students and families are encouraged to attend for a night of fun with games, station activities, and food trucks!

Spring Growth Mindset Challenge

Students and teachers challenged themselves to use their non-dominant hands to pick up as many beans as possible in 30 seconds. The amount of focus, patience, and perseverance was wonderful to witness. Let's Groooowww Gators!

Any 7th or 8th graders zoned for NHS wanting to swim for NHS in the Fall?

Our March preseason will be at the Rock Hill Aquatic Center each Monday and Wednesdays in March from 4:00 - 5:15. Must have a current physical as of April 2023 on file in Planet High school.
