Proud to call one of Rock Hill's living legends Ms. Josephine Jordan a friend! An alum of Emmett School High School in Rock Hill, Ms. Jordan loves her city and has spent her lifetime working with school-aged children. She attended this week's Academic Challenge Competition at The Creek!

Dear parents, students, and school community:
Another impressive week at The Creek! Students and staff continue to work hard each day to be better than the day before. Sometimes that is a little tougher on some days than others, but I am extremely proud of our Gator Grit!
We will take time to celebrate students for their growth and achievement in MAP. Teachers have met with students to discuss their individual targets and opportunities to improve their academic performance, so we will recognize them for their efforts!
Enjoy this week's newsletter and take particular note of the calendar of events. Every day is important so let's be sure to make each day count! Stay safe and healthy, and here's to another great week at The Creek! GOOOOOOOOOOO GATORS!
Yours in service,
Principal Clayton B. Moton
Let's take a moment to recognize and celebrate our Gator Nation students, staff, and community members!
Inspired perhaps by the HUGE crowd of staff members in attendance, the DCMS Academic Challenge team defeated Rawlinson Road 38-8 and Saluda Trail 39-9! Gators are undefeated City Champions! Great job!!!
Congratulations to Multilingual Learners teacher Valeria Vanstrien for earning her Doctorate degree! Congratulations, Dr. Vanstrien!
Several members of the Rock Hill Schools community took time to serve as guest judges for our National History Day school competition and our annual Black History Month Door Decorating Competition! Your support is much appreciated!

Dutchman Creek is an active partner with Winthrop University. We welcome School of Education students as they gain first hand experiences as prospective teachers by working with our staff and students!
Whether it is volunteering to help with after school clubs and competition or cheering wildly in the stands as fans, the faculty and staff understand the importance of supporting our students in and outside of the classroom! We are unapologetically PROUD to be Dutchman Creek Gators!
