Dutchman Creek Arts Showcase

Mrs. Moore and our talented arts students are excited to present a series of art displays throughout the months of November and December! Art will be on display between 5p.m-7p.m for students and families to view in conjunction with various sporting and related arts events. Come out and support the artistic talents of our students.

A reminder about Q2 progress reports and benchmarks

As we return from Thanksgiving break, this is just a reminder that progress reports went home last week. Remind students to return them back to their homebase teachers if they have not already. Encourage students to ensure they are submitting assignments on time, asking for help, and taking advantage of opportunities for additional support as needed.

Quarter 2 Benchmarks will take place the week of December 11-15, 2023. These assessments are given to monitor student progress and mastery of skills covered within the quarter. We want to ensure that students take their time and take the assessments seriously to provide an accurate reflection of their understanding of skills covered. These benchmarks serve as a data point for intervention and extension for students. Teachers will continue to reflect on this data coupled with classroom observations and formative assessment data to drive instruction as we move forward throughout the academic school year.

The holiday season is quickly approaching!!!
The DCMS school counselors will again be hosting the Gator Giving Tree!!
Approximately 10 students have been identified from each grade level to receive gifts.
Each student will receive a clothing related gift and a "fun" gift...with an approximate value of $25.
If you would like to provide a gift(s) for a student...you may select an ornament from the Gator Giving Tree website. If you have any questions, please contact one of the grade level counselors.

Wrapped gifts are due back by December 13th with a sticky note attached identifying the ornament you selected.
