The benefits of physical activity and recess for school children can be found in news headlines. But what about children with intellectual and/or physical disabilities that do not or cannot run and play with ease on the playground or sports fields. Children with disabilities are at risk of developing many health issues related to decreased physical activity. Promoting physical activity and lifelong health among children with disabilities should be our common goal. Participants will leave with a set of resources and strategies for including children with disabilities in physical activities.
