Orchestrate! Collaborate! Pull Together to Make it Great!

Partnering with other departments and the community can be overwhelming. This presentation takes a deeper look at how the Vision department in one of the largest districts in Texas partnered with resources both in and out of their district to create hands on experiences for their students. Focus will be on thinking outside of the classroom, to come up with fresh ideas for partnerships as well as a look at some of the hurdles and how to overcome them.

Some outcomes to expect:

1. Participants will learn some new ways to partner with community resources to help improve student outcomes.
2. Participants will learn what some hurdles are in partnering with other departments/agencies and how to avoid them.
