8th Grade Book Tasting
We welcomed our 8th graders to the Rams Bistro again this year. They sampled several different genres of books and ate genre themed snacks in preparation for their next independent reading assignment with Ms. Leonard! The genres they sampled were - fantasy, sci-fi, sports, and humor fiction. The 8th grade not only brainstormed the genre themed snacks with Ms. Todd and myself but the also helped prepare them for their classmates! On the menu was "mysterious" cheez-it's, "humourous" fruit loop necklaces, "sports" cheese balls, and "fantasy" unicorn mix. Thank you chef's Todd and Leonard!
Paper Airplane Competition
This month we challenged students in basic aerodynamics but having a paper airplane competition. The only rule was to create a paper airplane that flies the farthest. Congrats to out winner who won a $20.00 Stewart's gift card!

Goodreads is an excellent resource that many people take for granted. Not only can you find reviews for just about any book out there but you can also keep track of your reads and see what others are reading as well. If you set up a free account and start logging what books you've read and/or are reading Goodreads will start curating lists for you. One of which are books that Goodreads recommends that you read next. This site does more than just record information about books. You can also find news articles and interviews with authors! You can ask certian authors questions, find trivia and quizzes, as well as quotes and events! There are also giveaways where you can enter to win certain books!
