High-Impact Coaching

The relationship between the candidate and reflective coach is the heart of CTI’s Induction Program.  Candidates meet with an expert reflective coach an average of one hour per week for support through focused cycles of inquiry as well as “just-in-time” daily instructional and student engagement needs.  Candidates receive targeted feedback via weekly meetings and classroom observations to further develop effective teaching practices as measured by the CSTPs.

A good mentor can help teachers, at any stage, maintain their passion for

teaching and stay in the profession.

Job-Embedded Focused Cycles of Inquiry

Candidates actively engage in job-embedded focused cycles of inquiry by self-selecting a need or interest aligned to a CSTP.  Candidates develop a fluid Individualized Learning Plan, reflect on their practice, receive feedback and ongoing support from their reflective coach.

Even if your change is small, change something.

Continuous Reflection

Candidates strengthen their teaching practice by developing a habit-of-mind of continuous improvement through intentional reflection guided by their reflective coach during weekly meetings and observations.

“We do not learn from experience...we learn from reflecting on experience.”

-John Dewey

Candidates will have access to valuable curated resources as well as the option to apply induction completion to a master’s degree and/or salary advancement.  Ultimately, candidates earn a California Clear General Education and/or Education Specialist Credential.  The CTI Induction Program seeks to increase teacher effectiveness, strengthen instructional practice, improve student learning, and retain teachers in the profession.
