Set professional growth goal(s) by creating an Individualized Learning Plan with input from reflective coach and administrator.
Use the CSTP self-assessment, ILP, and daily experience to personalize a goal for each focused cycle of inquiry.
Meet with reflective coach not less than an hour each week for success through induction activities (inquiry cycles) as well as “just-in-time” support for daily instructional and classroom environment needs.
Access professional learning support resources: Inquiry Snapshots, including CTI curated resources of web-based tools and strategies to use in your classroom tomorrow.
Receive high-impact feedback from reflective coach during weekly meetings and following three observations.
Observe reflective coach, or other peer experts, modeling best practices when possible.
Continuously reflect on professional growth using the CSTP, reflective conversations, student data, and technology tools.
Create a digital reflection website synthesizing the candidate's induction journey.
Attend a year-end CTI Colloquium to celebrate growth.
Apply for a recommendation for a California Clear Credential (Year 2/ECO) or receive information regarding the next steps to enroll in CTI Induction to complete the second year of a two-year program.
*Note: Outstanding enrollment and participation fee balances must be paid in full by the candidate or employing agency prior to being recommended for the clear credential.
Our purpose is to provide a flexible, supportive, individualized induction experience to all new teachers through the mentoring of a reflective coach. Candidates are supported in the continuous improvement of instructional practice through meaningful, manageable cycles of inquiry that are natural and fluid occurrences in their teaching and learning environments.
