Enrollment Policy
Induction focuses on support and professional learning for the first two years of teaching. Induction program participation requires that every aspect of the program is job-embedded within a teaching context. Induction requires active engagement in the coaching and mentoring process including meeting with a reflective coach for an average of one hour per week for feedback and ongoing support. Candidates who need to withdraw or take a leave of absence while enrolled in CTI Induction must follow the guidelines below:
Withdrawals
Candidates must be actively enrolled in induction and teaching in the classroom no less than 75% of the school year to receive credit for a full year of induction.
If a candidate is voluntarily withdrawing from the induction program, it is the candidate’s responsibility to notify the agency representative, reflective coach, and CTI program right away via email to the agency representative and the CTI Induction program at ctisupport@rcoe.us. Withdrawals will be processed within five business days and the candidate will no longer have access to CTI Navigate. Verification of program participation while enrolled can be requested at any time by contacting the CTI Credential Care Services team.
If an agency representative (AR) is withdrawing a candidate from the induction program, the AR should notify the candidate of their status in induction, reflective coach, and CTI program right away via email to ctisupport@rcoe.us. Withdrawals will be processed within five business days and the candidate will no longer have access to CTI Navigate. Verification of program participation while enrolled can be requested at any time by contacting the CTI Credential Care Services team.
Leave of Absence(s)
Candidates must be actively enrolled in induction and teaching in the classroom no less than 75% of the school year to receive credit for a full year of induction.
If a candidate is taking a leave of absence (statutory or administrative) from the induction program and plans to return during the same academic school year, it is the candidate’s and/or agency representative's responsibility to notify the reflective coach and CTI program right away via email to ctisupport@rcoe.us. Leave of absences will be processed within five business days.
An induction candidate on a leave of absence (statutory or administrative), will be inactivated in our system, and their induction program and progress is ‘paused’ during the leave of absence. When they return from leave officially, they will be reactivated and may continue in the induction program with full credit for all participants on that took place before the leave.
