Band vs. Choir

Have you ever done band or choir? If you haven't, have you ever thought one was better?

Well in band class you kind of just play your instrument, and what if you don't like your instrument? You can change it but you're going to have to wait for the next year or term. In choir, you can make funny sounds and it's considered music! Also when you do sing it's more fun because most of the time you can sing whatever you want.

Band can be fun though if you're really interested in it or the instrument you play.Ā  Also if you're invested or interested in your instrument you can make a living off of it. I think choir is more fun than band because there's more to do and it's more fun, you also get to do a lot of things that you choose to do. In my opinion, I think singing is better than playing. Playing an instrument is really fun but also sometimes really plain and confusing. There's a lot of notes that you need to learn along the way. Most people like choir more because it is easier, for example Leanna Pannell said "I prefer choir because I think band is very hard and takes a lot of talent!."

Singing is a more popular career choice, there are tons of popular singers who make a lot of money off of their vocal chords. If you have good vocal chords, then you're in! Sometimes when trying to do the right fingering position in a band it can be really tricky to learn and switch your fingering and hand position throughout the song or songs that you're playing.

While you might think one is better or worse, choir and band are kind of equal. Some people prefer band over choir or choir over band but either way you get to explore music. Say you don't like band or you don't like choir, you can just switch. In my opinion I think they're both really fun, which do you prefer?Ā
