And that’s time, the Kansas City Chiefs win the game! On February 12, 2023, the Chiefs won Super Bowl 57, with a last minute field goal to win the game, 38-35, in Phoenix, Arizona. Addilyn Winters, an eighth grader, is, ”Very excited, because I want to see Rihanna perform at the halftime show.”

Super Bowl 57 took place on February 12, 2023 at 6:30 PM, Eastern time, in the State Farm Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona. The Philadelphia Eagles returned, their last Super Bowl in 2018, and the Kansas City Chiefs hoped to win again, their last win in 2020, against the 49ers, but who will win? The Eagles are favored to win, but many people think the Chiefs have the odds in their favor.

Now, the halftime show? That’s a whole different story. Everybody knows that the Super Bowl has amazing halftime shows, as last year rappers Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar joined R&B singer Mary J. Blige in the 2022 halftime show. This year however, Rihanna will take the stage at the first-ever Apple Music Super Bowl, and Chris Stapleton, an eight-time Grammy winner and 15-time Country Music Association award winner, will sing the national anthem. “It’s alright, I’ve seen better halftime shows,” said Kade Gilchrist, but many people disagree, and are really excited to see Rihanna perform.

The Eagles have had an outstanding season, going undefeated until the Washington Commanders upset them 32-21 at Lincoln Financial Field. From  there, they started to go downhill, with Jalen Hurts, their quarterback, got injured and was out for a while, with the Eagles finishing out the season with a 14-3 record, and clinched their conference. The Chiefs however, clinched their division with a 14-3 record as well. Jackson Cosby, an eighth grader said he wants, “Eagles, because I want my prediction to be right,” but who knows, it’s anybody’s game!

Well, as it turns out, The Chiefs managed to pull through to win after an outstandingly close game, with a score of 38-35. Rihanna, as expected, had an amazing halftime show, although it left almost half the nation speculating whether she was pregnant or not. Mahomes, being his second Super Bowl, managed to pull through after his ankle injury was brought back because of a tackle, led his team to victory with 182 passing yards and 44 rushing yards himself. Jalen Hurts played an outstanding game with 304 rushing yards, breaking a record that stood for more than 20 years before Super Bowl 57 on Sunday.
