Ben Welch: The Only 7th Grade Marcher
How it started
Ben started playing the drums when he was 2! And is completely SELF-TAUGHT (bruh what) Ben only had one year of lessons but was too good for them! So he left and kept practicing by himself. AND THEN he found Edgewood band and started playing trombone. Â

How ben got to marching bandÂ
Mr Koehler, our good and very British band teacher, asked Ben to be in marching after he played a drum set that said DO NOT TOUCH on it and he started poppin off. Long story short, Koehler asked if he wanted to march even though he is a 7th grader (hacks?)
Why Ben said yes
Ben had always wanted to go into marching and has of course always been in band. He had never expected being accepted in 7th grade! He can play pretty much any percussion instrument but decided to do drum kit as it is one of his most strong categories.Â

Ben has some other hobbies too; these include baseball, building computers, and being outside in general. His hero is his father who played the drums in high school. Ben also plays trombone, as said earlier, but he has only been seriously playing it since 6th grade.
