If you're in school, then you know the worry of getting good grades. Getting good grades can also be very stressful, making you feel rushed and panicked when work is due but not done. That is why we are going to be telling you some ways to keep your grades up and some ways to get assignments done easier.

One reason why students work to get good grades is because their parents bribe them. Whether it’s  being paid money for each grade or if it is being given ice cream. Some kids get bribed to do their work and get good grades. Adults have noticed how their students would work harder if they have something to work for. Some people believe that students originally don’t work as hard if they feel like they are working just to please their parents and teachers. Many students get rewarded for doing their work or getting good grades. Like Victoria Burks, when we asked her if she gets any rewards for getting good grades or getting her work done she said, “Sometimes I get ice cream, money, or go out to my favorite place to eat.”

Another reason kids may or may not get good grades is because they may think that it is easy or hard. Like Dorothy Hamiltion when we asked her if she thought that getting good grades and getting her work done is hard she said, “I think that it is hard to get the motivation to do the work, but once you are doing the work it gets easier to get the work done.” Some students think that it can be easy to get their work done and get good grades, but some need to do things to help them with getting their work done. Some people have different ways to help them focus and get their work done. Like Tori Burks, when we asked her and she said it is harder

“I think normally I get good grades by staying on top of my work and making sure that I put in the effort to get good grades, I kind of am good at memorizing what we are learning about.” ~Dorothy Hamilton

Another thing that may affect the way students get good grades is the strategies they use. Some people like to do their work in a quiet place or to be alone while doing their work. Others may want it to be louder and to be in a group. Victoria Burks likes to sit somewhere quiet and listen to music. Bella Bennett has a very unique way to get her work done. Bella said, “To get my work done I just have to tell myself that me and my whole family would die if I didn't get my work done. This helps me think that getting my work done is a need and not a want.”

The last way we will be sharing to get good grades is by setting goals for yourself. Lots of people set goals to get things done. Some people may think it is easy to set goals while some think it is harder to set goals. Dorothy Hamilton says, “I usually set a daily schedule like I'm going to get my work done on Thursday at 4 o’ clock or I know when I need to do the work and when I need to get it done.” The other writer, Caitlyn Bayne, Thinks that it is easy to set goals, but can be a challenge to achieve the goals she sets.
