Do you think that GroundHog day is a myth. If the famous Groundhog sees his shadow it is said to have 6 more weeks of winter. If he doesn't, spring comes early. The animal  has been at it since the 1880s. Records kept by the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club show Phil has predicted 107 continued winters and only 20 early springs as of 2023. According to the Stormfax Almanac, that works out to a 39% accuracy rate for Phil.

Many people believe in the famous Ground Hog to decide if there will be an extra 6 weeks of winter. Clare Boehm says, “I think that Ground Hog day is a fun holiday that is kind of true because yea it's a Ground Hog but it is a fun way to predict the future.” Yea I think that it is a fun way to predict the future but it still is just a fluffy animal. Adrianna  Minnick says, “I think that ground Hog day is real yea they don't know if he actually saw his shadow but I think that is a fun holiday.”

Says, Savannah Posey

There are also a lot of people who don't believe in the Ground Hog. Dorothy Hamilton says, “The thing

I don't believe in the inner circle one there's no women and no black people and it seems to always be winter and they always seem pretty happy.” And that's true there aren't any women or black people. Even if he did see his shadow there's no way of telling if he actually saw it. Savannah Posey says, “he can't like tell the people that if he saw it or not.”

So it's pretty much a preference of weather you think that the holiday is real or not. The percentage of him being right is only 39 percent though. So that's less than 50 percent correct which means the Ground Hog is correct a little but less than half of the time over the past 127 years. So do you think that Ground Hog day is fat or fiction?
