Why do we need to use the appropriate tone and manner?
Adjusting their tone and showing acceptable manner will help tutors show appropriate persona in class.
How do we observe proper tone and manner?
❌ Perky tone
❌ Rising tone
❌ Sing-song intonation
❌ Monotonous tone
❌ Use of informal language (gonna, mmkay, 'kay, etc.)
❌ Use of repetitive fillers (alright, ok, uhmm, uhh, etc.)
❌ Making faces
❌ Inappropriate comments (wow, yay, etc.)
❌ Pointing fingers
Use Total Physical Response (TPR) when teaching Young Learners
Connect your words with actions. This helps students understand the contexts and remember the words easily.
