Connaught championships

The 2024 Connaught Primary Schools Cross Country championships were held on the grounds of Mohill Community College on the 12th of October in cold showery weather and resulting soft underfoot conditions. All four of our teams ran very well and finished in the top four teams in each race. Our girls teams pulled off an amazing double winning both the 3rd/4th team competition as well as the 5th/6th team competition. Our 3rd/4th class boys finished just outside the medals in fourth place. Our 5th/6th class boys team finished second.

Four of our pupils won individual medals also. Huge thanks to all parents who travelled to the event and gave great support.

Mayo championships

The 2024 Mayo Primary Schools Cross Country championships were held in Belleek, Ballina on the 25th of September in ideal running conditions. There were four great races and all four teams from our school qualifying for the Connaught championships - we won the 3rd/4th Class Girls, the 5th/6th Class Girls and 5th/6th Class Boys with our 3rd/4th Class Boys coming second. All represented the school excellently.

North Mayo championships

The 2024 North Mayo Primary Schools Cross Country championships were held in Belleek, Ballina on the 19th September in glorious sunshine. Many children competed from the school.
