Connecting to Home Wifi/internet and Internet Filter - Macbook
An error message like "Your Connection is not private" or if you are not able to access Google Classroom or perform a Google search, you may need to authenticate to the internet filter.
If a student is prompted to authenticate to the PVCSD Web Filter Authentication Page, the student should enter their universal user id and password: lastnamefirstnamepv/funny password. In most cases, the unique laptop login credentials are the same. If you need further assistance, contact your building tech support found below.
If you are not presented with an authentication screen, then force your device to the authentication page by copying the url below into the address bar of the Chrome browser: https://webfilter.pvcsd.org/sslnotice.php. When prompted, enter your credentials.

To connect to Wifi on a Macbook:
Click the Wi-Fi icon toward the upper right of your screen in the menu bar. A list of available networks will appear for you to join.
Click on the name of the Wi-Fi network you want to join.Type in the password associated with the Wi-Fi network if prompted.
Click on the Join button. If successful, your Wi-Fi status will change to Connected.
