Please join us here in The School of General Education as we embark on our 15th annual Virtual General Education Conference!
The General Education Conference offers Purdue University Global faculty, staff, and administrators the opportunity to discuss and learn about the importance of general education for students across the University. The conference is designed to draw in faculty, staff, and administrators from across the University to focus on the Mission of the School of General Education: to support areas of knowledge that comprise students' educational foundation.
This year’s conference takes place April 25–27 and focuses on the theme of:
General Education Perspectives
This year’s conference encompasses the following core tracks:
Research and Innovation in General Education: Share research connected to general education disciplines and/or cross-disciplinary related topics/research.
Leadership: Present on research and/or applications of leadership theory in practice in higher education to demonstrate ways to foster success in a complex global environment.
Contemporary Challenges/Trends in Higher Education: Examine contemporary issues, problems, and trends in higher education via research connected to general education.
Diversity and Inclusivity Within Higher Education: Showcase research that celebrates diversity and highlights the importance of inclusivity within higher education.
Special Focus Lightning Sessions: These are fast-paced and highly interactive “academic soundbite” sessions, newly expanded to include original creative works.
This year we again invite faculty, administration, and support staff to join us in collaboration with colleagues to demonstrate innovations that help us grow, ways that you motivate students to propel them toward graduation, or showcase how your research supports academic reputation.
Interested in presenting at this year’s conference? We invite all faculty and staff across the University to submit proposals around our theme. Find more details here and to officially submit a proposal. All proposals need to be submitted by February 1, 2023, by 11:59 pm ET.
