Teacher Responsibilities

Introduction

Guidelines and expectations for teachers teaching  at Pt England School in 2024.

We envisage Team Leaders using the points outlined on this page along with the Professional Standards for Teachers as part of the attestation/appraisal process.

Please note that you are required to have a Teacher Inquiry Into Practice linked to your Individual Action Plan with appropriate goals specified as part of your inquiry into practice, our professional learning programme and our performance management system.

We expect all teaching staff to maintain an online Portfolio Folder which will contain:

We expect all our teaching staff to maintain a Professional Inquiry Blog

We expect all our teaching staff to use Google Sites to create class Sites in order to plan and lead student learning

We expect all our teaching staff to keep a record of planning as informed by formative practice 

We expect all our teaching staff to keep an ongoing record of data appropriate to student age level, to used in formative practice

We expect all classes to have a Class Blog

From Y2 onwards we expect all students to have their own individual blog. Y1's will have personal blogs at a developmentally appropriate time in their learning journey.

In Your Absence

        -Planned: Leave relevant, straight forward work for your class.

        -Unplanned: Team member to supply straight forward, relevant work.


Hero Database

        - attendance register taken twice daily

        - summative OTJ data is accurate and entered annually

        - liaise with office where appropriate
