Teaching As Inquiry
Collaborative Inquiry is a powerful design for professional learning and recognises the role of teachers as change agents in on-going school improvement. Teachers are supported by management and their peers to prioritise what and how they teach based on the needs of their students.
This requires:
ongoing and regular formative practice
goal setting
visible and collaborative teaching and learning
development of new knowledge and competencies
robust discussion
reflection on teaching impact
In 2024 our school-wide focii are Accelerated Progress in Reading, Mathematics & Acquisition of Language along with Wellbeing and Whanau Engagement
Teachers will set individual focii within this based on 2023 reflections and beginning of 2024 data. Then a termly cycle follows.
