Food for Learning
The following foods are of the type that help children to grow strong, be healthy and learn well
Note:
Pt England is a Silver Award winner from the National Heart Foundation, as a Health Promoting School.
Breakfast:
Cereal, bread, fruit, milk
Morning Tea
fruit, bread, biscuits (crackers, small cookies), cheese yoghurt
Lunch:
Provided via the national programme
Drinks:
Water or milk is the best drink for school
Snacks:
One small snack packet of potato chips is fine as a part of a healthy lunch from home
Please DON’T bring the following foods to school:
Fizzy drinks of any kind
Large cookies
Large packets of chips
Meat pies
$2.00 snack packs
Doritos
Cheezels
Twisties
Rashuns
Roll-ups (Roll-Ups stick to teeth for a long time after they have been eaten)
Sports Drinks
Role Modelling
Teachers need to model the things we are asking the children to do.
SUNSMART
Children must wear the uniform hat @ interval, lunchtimes and during outdoor activities during Terms 1 and 4, otherwise they must stay in the Walkway the Street or the Breeze
Teachers must model this behaviour.
