Andy is a Senior Lecturer in Higher Education and Professional Development Lead in DCQE with responsibility for managing the APEX Programme. Andy has worked in HE for over 28 years, and has a demonstrable track record of envisioning and leading strategic change, and delivering real enhancement to learning and teaching against NSS and TEF metrics, through the provision of transformative CPD, and the mentoring of staff to support inspirational learning and teaching. Andy has a number of specialisms including active blended learning, technology enhanced learning, employability, and education for sustainable development. Andy is an advocate of creativity and play in HE, and is a certified trainer for Lego Serious Play (LSP). In 2021, Andy was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship.
