Dr André van der Westhuizen

Dr André van der Westhuizen (SFHEA) has worked in the field of Academic/Educational Development in HE for more than twenty-five years. After completing a BA and a University Education Diploma she achieved a BA Hons in Psychology at Rand Afrikaans University, South Africa, as well as an MPhil in Higher Education (cum Laude) and PhD in Didactics at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa where she focussed on Academic Leadership Development and Universities as Learning Organisations. She is a Diplomat of the Viktor Frankl Institute and has recently been expanding her interest in Logotherapy and Counselling. Dr Van der Westhuizen has dedicated her career to pursuing a deeper understanding of the scholarship of learning and teaching, human behaviour, mentoring and professional development, its impact, meaning and management.
