Faculty Liaisons
To ensure a coordinated and responsive line of communication between Learning and Teaching Innovation and the five Faculties, we have assigned Faculty Liaisons who will be on hand to provide pedagogic and technical support and guidance.
The Role of the Faculty Liaison
To act as the primary Academic Development representative at the Faculty Education and Student Experience Committee to foster strong professional relationships between Faculty members and the Academic Development Team
To act as a conduit to enrich the linkages and partnerships between the Faculty and Academic Development team thus helping to better align Academic Development activities to meet Faculty and wider institutional priorities
To draw on AcDev’s collective pedagogical and technical expertise to foster broader conversations about supporting teaching and learning, and to act as a critical friend to encourage reflection and critical evaluation on current academic practice
To ensure that Faculty members are regularly updated on the work of the Academic Development team, and that they are afforded the opportunity to engage fully in Academic Development events as a means to disseminate good practice taking place in the Faculty
To support continuing professional development, aligned to the UKPSF, and act as an initial contact point for Faculty members seeking professional recognition through APEX
